[Best Korean YouTube Channels] CCARMIN 카아민 The Painter

CCARMIN is a South Korean YouTuber and a super talented painter. The quality of painting is of course great (to even untrained eyes like mine) but her videography is just beyond words. She has 305,000 subscribers (as of today) and has achieved this number with only 24 videos.

 

Each video is amazing to watch because of how she presents her painting process, not to mention the quality of each painting. The music, filming angle, the process itself capture your mind and the first time I watched one of her videos I was just in awe.

She covers a wide range of topics from BTS to Disney's Frozen and it is no wonder why her YouTube channel is growing so fast. She mostly draws oil and acrylic paintings but never assume anything! She is not afraid to try non-conventional painting mediums like cream cheese!

Let's see how CCARMIN turns these three packets of cream cheese into an amazing fun art piece! 

 

 

She used icing food colorings (three primary colors - red, blue, yellow) and cream cheese to make her own paints.

His hair is a key feature, most of Koreans who watch YouTube will recognize him immediately.

Her Muse is Choi Jun (최준). Choi Jun is actually a nickname of a character Kim HaeJun (김해준), a Korean comedian, created. He is a recent sensation, creating a love and hate relationship with all his viewers through his cheesy but sweet comments (I presume that's why CCARMIN chose to paint him using cream cheese!). I'll introduce him on a separate posting!^^
